All proceeds benefit SafeHaven’s emergency shelters and counseling programs and more than 120 area stores offer a 20 percent discount to cardholders from Oct. 26-Nov. 4, 2012. Many participating stores will host HeartCard parties, where you can purchase your card early and take advantage of sales.

Details: Denton County Friends of the Family is proud to present an elegant, sparkling, and exhilarating afternoon for our annual fundraising event, Rhapsody in Blue. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Ashton Gardens in Corinth, TX.   In 2011, the event raised nearly $100,000 due to the response of our community and this year we’d like to go even further to support victims of relationship violence and sexual assault in Denton County!
Friends of the Family is excited to announce the continued participation of Tiffany & Co. as the centerpiece of Rhapsody in Blue.  The partnership between Tiffany & Co. and Friends of the Family has ensured the success of this very worthy fundraising event.

Details:  Fuzzy’s Taco Shop has designated all Tuesdays as New Beginning Day. Customers having breakfast, lunch or dinner will only need to tell the hostess that they support the New Beginning Center and Fuzzy’s will make a donation to the center based on the amount of the check.   Other merchants can get involved with the program as well by agreeing to contribute a percentage of proceeds from sales by customers who identify themselves as supporters of the New Beginning Center. Details: On Friday, May 4, 2012, The Family Crisis Center in Harlingen, in partnership with Texas State Technical College, will be hosting an “Ethics Training.”  The event will be held at the Service Support Center located at 1902 N.
