Festival of Trees brings the community together for an evening of celebration and giving. This holiday event is one of three primary fundraisers that the agency holds each year. The event features live music and a “Taste of the Area”, with restaurants and caterers from Bastrop and surrounding areas offering hors d’oeuvres, desserts and beverages. Tickets are $55 and may be purchased by phone from the Family Crisis Center at (512) 321-7760, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Details:  SafeHaven holds its annual Legacy of Women Awards Luncheon to recognize 15 women who excel in their fields of: Arts, Business, Education, Health and Human Services and Volunteerism.

Details:  Fuzzy’s Taco Shop has designated all Tuesdays as New Beginning Day. Customers having breakfast, lunch or dinner will only need to tell the hostess that they support the New Beginning Center and Fuzzy’s will make a donation to the center based on the amount of the check.   Other merchants can get involved with the program as well by agreeing to contribute a percentage of proceeds from sales by customers who identify themselves as supporters of the New Beginning Center.
