Managing Director for Changing Lives Youth Theatre Ensemble
Part time (20 hrs) – $18,000 – $20,000/yr
The Managing Director for the Changing Lives Youth Theatre Ensemble, a collaboration between SafePlace and Creative Action (formerly Theatre Action Project), co-directs the Changing Lives Youth Theatre Ensemble with a Creative Director employed by Creative Action.  The Changing Lives Youth Theatre Ensemble consists of high school students who come together to create original, interactive, educational theatre.  The Managing Director is responsible for co-facilitating rehearsals, implementing curriculum, engaging youth in developing compelling prevention messages, coordinating theatre operations, and booking and promoting the tour. Requirements:  Experience in engaging youth through theatre or other creative arts; experience with prevention of DV/SA, teen dating violence or related issues; experience in designing and producing marketing and promotional materials targeting youth;  a strong drive and determination to advance creative ideas to increase youth and community engagement; strong organizational skills; excellent communication and collaboration skills; minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in media and communications, theatre, marketing, education or a related field; and 3+ years’ of work experience; bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred; and  must be available to work two evenings/ week to support rehearsals and additional weekends or evenings as required by the Changing Lives performance schedule and community events.
