2013 Capitol Day
The Texas Council on Family Violence (TCFV) and the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA) invite you to JOIN US for Capitol Day, generously supported by Mary Kay!
Help us in supporting our message that love shouldn’t hurt by joining us in informing your legislators that Texans care about the safety of survivors of sexual assault and family violence and support continuing its commitment to fund vital services. The time is right to take a stand and share the love!

Please consider preparing and bringing Valentine’s Day materials you can carry as we walk to the steps of the Capitol for a rally and press conference. Get creative by using the Valentine’s theme to share messages about the need to foster positive relationships and options for victims of intimate partner violence. “Love shouldn’t hurt” and “Family Violence Breaks Hearts” are some examples. The best valentine will win a prize!
If you have completed Postcards, please bring them with you on Capitol Day! The Purple Postcards represent our best, most effective method of communicating to your legislators that full funding for family violence and sexual assault ranks as a high priority.
