Prevention is a vital component of TCFV’s dedication to ending domestic violence. The TCFV Prevention team supports the prevention efforts of local programs across the state, and works to create an environment in Texas in which people, organizations, and communities can act together to stop domestic violence before it starts. Through research, resources, education, and prevention-focused advocacy, TCFV supports domestic violence programs and other community organizations working to prevent domestic violence. We nurture the development of new methods for engaging community members in ending domestic violence, and we share best practices across the state.
We also lead statewide prevention initiatives to promote powerful messages for social change, and we partner with statewide organizations to advance understanding of domestic violence prevention and enhance support for domestic violence prevention programming.
