The 2009 Texas Legislative Session: Challenges and Opportunities
The 2009 Texas Legislative Sessions begins on January 13, and with the opening gavel non-profit organizations across the state will face unique challenges and opportunities.
The Texas Council on Family Violence (TCFV) Policy Committee worked diligently this past summer and early fall to identify issues of great importance to the women, children, men and families of our state. Comprised of talented domestic violence professionals and experts, the Policy Committee identified six subject areas on which TCFV and domestic violence service providers will focus and advocate before the State Legislature in 2009.
