Developed by Project Connect |Texas with support from Futures Without Violence and the Texas Healthy Start Alliance, the “Domestic Violence Protocol for Home Visiting Programs” and “Home Visitation Guidelines on Screening, Assessment and Response to Domestic Violence” aim to support the work of home visitation programs in building healthier communities and improving services for clients experiencing violence.

They offer guidance to home visitation programs seeking to develop a locally informed domestic violence protocol, and provide an outline for building collaborative partnerships with local domestic violence programs.  These tools also seek to build the capacity of home visitation programs to support clients experiencing violence, and offer guidance to home visitors on how to safely and sensitively assess for and respond to domestic violence.
