Dedication is a 40-hour curriculum designed to educate and train staff of Battering Intervention and Prevention Programs (BIPPs) and others who work with family violence offenders. This curriculum was designed to meet the requirements of the BIPP Guidelines which call for new staff to receive 40 hours of initial training.

The training series will present the entire 40 hours in two 3-day segments. The series has been priced at a low $80 per segment or $150 if you register for both. The low pricing does not reflect the value of the training, but rather the desire of the Texas Council on Family Violence (TCFV) to make this training available as widely as possible.

Each of the segments of the series will be led by TCFV staff and BIPP staff from programs around the state. Together these teams of trainers will bring to the curriculum decades of experience in working with family violence offenders. Topics will include why men batter, victim safety, effects of family violence on children, BIPP group facilitation, legal information about family violence offenses, BIPP Guidelines, special interventions with offenders, and many more. The training also includes an approved three hour module on ethics.

CEUs for LPCs and Social Workers are available for all these events plus CJAD Approved Training Hours are available for Community Supervision Officers
