The Grant Writer is responsible for researching and preparing grant proposals to bring grant funding to the agency. Full-time position with benefits; salary $35,000 - $45,000 annually DOE; Must have a minimum of: 3-5 years of verifiable successful experience in community development. Requires proficiency in the use of  Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Dreamweaver, Donor Perfect, Front Page, PageMaker Must be Detail Oriented; Strong Direct/Open Communication Skills (both oral and written);  Solid Planning and Organizational Skills; Ability to grasp a concept and move it forward; The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize changing workload; Excellent proofreading, editing, and computer skills are essential; Ability to motivate and inspire others is essential; Ability to work closely with Top-Management; Ability to lift/carry/move a minimum of 40 pounds for an extended distance; Employment is contingent upon positive outcomes of a criminal background check and motor vehicle record as described by Bay Area Turning Point Policies; Must have a Clean Driving Record, Valid Automobile Insurance, and at least 7 years of verifiable driving experience.Â
Bay Area Turning Point job positions are significantly funded by grants. If funding is lost or realigned in any area of the agency this position could be changed or eliminated.
