State weighs speedy divorce legislation
The Texas House has given tentative approval to waiving the state’s sixty day waiting period for a divorce.
But only if there is significant evidence that family violence makes an earlier divorce necessary.
If passed, this proposed house bill will grant a divorce in half the time. The proposed bill is aimed at getting Texans out of violent relationships.
